Whether I’m shooting my bow or working in the garden, I’m always thinking about conservation in our great state. I started deer hunting when I was about 14, and I’ve been fishing ever since I can remember. I’ve always had a love for the outdoors and it seems to grow fonder after each adventure I take.

I recently took another adventure and became a CFM member after engaging with their Instagram page (@confedmo). I’ve been following the page from pretty early on and I’ve had the pleasure of watching it grow! It’s very encouraging to see more people interested in conservation related media. I’ve learned more than I could ever imagine.

Did you know that CFM is the largest and most representative conservation group in Missouri? It is a citizen’s organization with 80 clubs and thousands of members. With that many people involved in such a great organization, I have high hopes for the future of conservation in Missouri.

With those high hopes, I also have a high motivation to find more ways to get involved in protecting our states natural resources. The new Legislative Action Center (LAC) has helped me do just that. I have found this tool to be a fantastic way to stay in the know on upcoming or pending legislation. It also allows me to get in touch with my local representatives and voice my opinion on different bills being introduced. It makes me feel like I am part of something and that my voice is making a difference. I hope to see you in the field or at one of the numerous CFM events each year!
