Governor Nixon Hosting Press Conference to “Act” on Captive Deer Legislation

Jefferson City, MO | July 7, 2014 – You have a chance to be part of Missouri conservation history.

Tomorrow morning, Governor Nixon is hosting a press conference at the Tiger Hotel in Columbia to act on legislation that transfers captive deer from the Missouri Department of Conservation to the Missouri Department of Agriculture. CFM has led the fight to stop this transfer from happening. Now we must come together at this event to showcase our support of Governor Nixon’s action.

Many of you have followed this battle for months, and you have personally invested time and resources into protecting the white-tailed deer of Missouri. The conservation community needs to show up and support our Governor who is stepping up in defense of all conservation in Missouri.
